My list of complaints.. macro and micro

Not a full list but a stream of consciousness now

Macro

-We have a peak roster of 3 -5th year senior and 2 junior starters and we are getting schooled by very inexperienced teams on CMY's watch. That is very concerning.

-We play such a slow tempo (300)+ in the league that when we are off shooting wise, we are in big trouble along with it being so unpleasing to the eye.

- No flex with our roster with many hoopers but not many athletes. No bench and then we cannot impose our will on anyone relative to running the floor, pressing, subbing, etc. CMY is stubborn and it is putting him in more of a hole or a diminishing return on his rotations.. we saw it last yr with a refusal to play 2 top 100 kids.

- I suspect one of the reasons we cant close on a lot of the higher rated kids is that they want more opps/reps and see us as too slow of an offense and not sexy enough. Structured and no running/gunning (which is all Oats is doing at Alabama which is THE reason why they are getting so many studs).

- I realize Buzz was a jerk and a mercenary, etc but he would trot out 5 athletes and it was really fun to watch. VT is not fun to watch right now and I suspect it will be a lot worst next year w Mutts and Aluma gone.

Micro

- Storm is capable but he exhausts so much energy with his non necessary body movement bringing the ball up.. just does not look poised or calm.. Pedulla looks good though and has been impressive in his mins.

- Mutts is a stud athlete but should not put the ball on the floor, if at all possible. He is not a natural shooter and his form resembles an 8th grader.. I wish we had more options where he didnt have to be out on the wing jacking up 3's.

- Hunter is a really good player for a slow not very athletic kid. When he is our PG, it just shows how deficient our recruiting has been. He is a knock down shooter but was off a little today.

- Naheim is a good player but not fluid at all and prone to settle for so many one on one contested mid ranges.. I just do not get it. I do not like him handling it either but mostly bc he is not that graceful to watch on the ball.. for the life of me, how can he get 39 mins when he is not in a crucial on the ball type roll in today's game and performing as he was.

In the most recent few games, other coaches have schooled CMY.. maybe it is their rosters.. not sure. I do know, Anthony Grant, is a great defensive coach. His offenses resemble Seth Greenburgs but the dude knows Defense and CMY got worked today.
